With over 30 years of experience, Jaan Leemet has authored numerous patents in the security, data mining, expense management, and energy saving areas. He has also been a contributing author to specifications and standards for both Cable TV, RF, and Telecommunications.

After a successful career working for companies such as Sun Microsystems, Nortel, DataRadio, and Bell+Howell, Jaan joined a group of ex-Nortelers with Avantas Networks, a startup in the test and measurement space for telecom and datacom.  Avantas was sold to Exfo where Jaan stayed on to manage the 100 person engineering team at the protocol division.   He then left for Sunrise Telecom to return to the RF space as VP Engineering and ran a multi-site division of engineers building spectrum analyzers and working with Cablelabs to create the DOCSIS 3.0 standard.

Jaan went on to co-found Anomalous Networks as the CTO and President/Chairman in 2009. Anomalous Networks specialized in Anomaly Detection of data over wireless networks with applications to both security and cost containment (preventing Bill Shock). Anomalous Networks was acquired by Tangoe in 2012 where Jaan stayed on as the SVP of Advanced technology until 2016.

Jaan is active with Angel Networks where he gets to mentor start-ups and share his passion for technology and innovation.  He continues to provide consulting services through Leemet Consulting LLC.
